My TV display won’t connect
Fixes when a paired TV or browser display goes blank or offline.
A display that won’t connect or shows offline is almost always a network or pairing hiccup. Try these in order.
- •Check the internet — both your device and the TV/browser need a connection. Confirm the TV is actually online.
- •Re-pair with a fresh code — if the pairing code expired, reopen the TV app for a new one and pair again (how to pair).
- •Reopen the display — a browser tab or TV app that’s been idle can drop; reopening reconnects and remembers its assignment.
- •Fall back to a browser — if the TV app is stubborn, open the web HUD on a laptop plugged into the TV instead.
Offline is expected after a short idle — it clears as soon as the display checks back in. See Manage multiple displays.
