Players, Tables & SeatingHow-to
Balance tables
Keep tables even as players bust — automatically, or with a guided manual move.
As players bust, tables drift out of balance. Poker Hawk watches the seat counts and tells you exactly who to move — the bookkeeping that eats a director’s attention in legacy software.
Let Poker Hawk balance for you
1
Watch for the prompt
When tables get uneven enough to warrant a move, a Balance prompt appears. It already knows which seat should move where.
2
Review the suggested move
It picks the correct player (usually the one due for the big blind) and an open seat that keeps the game fair. Confirm to apply.
3
Announce it
Tell the player their new table and seat — it’s already on their device and the seating display.
Balance manually
Open Tables → Balance any time to move a player yourself. Poker Hawk still validates the move so you don’t accidentally leave a table short or seat someone into the blinds unfairly.

Move players between hands, not mid-hand. If someone’s in a live pot, wait for it to finish before you move them.
