Pay the bubble
Give the first player out of the money something back — and what applying a bubble does to your payouts.
The bubble is the last player knocked out before the paid places, and a bubble payout gives them something back. Poker Hawk takes the bubble amount out of the prize pool, works out your paid places again on what’s left, and adds the bubble as one more paid place: with three places paid, 4th now gets the bubble amount. If you had set each place by hand (Custom), those amounts are recalculated on the Standard formula.
- •Phone: Menu › Money opens Prize Controls. Under Bubble, tap Pay the Bubble, choose % of pot or Fixed amount, enter it and tap Apply bubble.
- •Desktop: on the Prize tab, click Configure. Under Bubble, choose % or an amount, enter it and click Apply bubble. When you hand the money over, Pay bubble on the Prize tab marks it paid.
Applying a bubble turns auto-adjust off and locks the payout ladder: it stops recalculating as players enter or bust, and paid places can’t change. To change them, use Unlock payouts on your phone or Unlock beside Paid places on desktop. All of this takes the tournament’s host or a club role that can manage prizes — by default the owner and Directors.
