Payouts, ICM & EndingHow-to
Run an ICM chop or deal
Split the remaining prize pool fairly when players want to make a deal.
When the remaining players want to deal, Poker Hawk calculates the split for you so you don’t have to run the ICM math by hand. (New to the concept? See ICM and chops, explained.)
1
Open the prize / deal tool
In the live controller, open Prize (or Tools) and choose to make a deal among the remaining players.
2
Pick the split method
Choose ICM (fairest for uneven stacks), chip-count, or an even split. Poker Hawk shows each player’s resulting payout.
3
Adjust and confirm
Players sometimes agree to leave a small amount to play for. Tweak the numbers if needed, get verbal agreement, then apply the deal as the finishing payouts.
Get everyone’s agreement out loud before you apply a deal — and consider leaving a small “bonus” for 1st to keep an incentive to finish it out.
