Members and players
Why your club’s list has both members and players, and how to merge duplicate records and link a record to someone’s account.
The Members tab lists two kinds of people. Members joined your club with a Poker Hawk account and have a role. Players come from your player book: one record for each person checked in to your club’s tournaments, including walk-ups with no account. Someone who is both is listed once, as a member, with a small link mark. The line at the top counts people, then splits them into members and players.
Merge duplicates
When one person has two records, open the Players section and select both — tap them on your phone, or tick them on desktop and click Merge 2 selected. Pick the record to keep and confirm Merge. The kept record also answers to the other names, their past results count for it, and season standings and club leaderboards rebuild. Nothing is rewritten, and Show merged › Unmerge puts a record back on its own. Possible duplicates suggests pairs to check.
Link a record to an account
When a walk-up joins your club, use Link an account (Link account on desktop) on their record and pick them from your members. Every result that record has with your club then scores to their account, and they’re recognized the next time they check in. Unlink account reverses it; the record keeps its history. A member may also show Also in the player book as…, with Link them or Not the same person.
