Set Up a TournamentHow-to
Build a blind structure
Start from a template sized to your target length, then adjust levels, antes, and breaks.
Your blind structure controls how long the tournament runs and how much play there is. The fastest way to a good structure is to start from a template and tweak.
1
Open the Blind Schedule tab
In tournament setup, go to Blind Schedule.
2
Pick a template
Choose a template sized to your target length — e.g. a ~3-hour structure for a weeknight game. This fills in the levels for you.
3
Adjust level length
Longer levels = longer, more skillful tournament. 15–20 minute levels suit most home games.
4
Add antes and breaks
Antes speed up the later game; a break every 4–6 levels keeps players fresh. Add a break where your add-on happens if you use one.
5
Save it as a template (optional)
If you’ll reuse this structure, save it so next week is one tap.

Not sure how fast to make it? The blind factor controls how quickly blinds grow between levels — see Blind factor and level progression.
